So I'm a Big, Fat Liar...

Go ahead, call me out.... I know I said I would have my giveaway posted today, BUT hubby and I spent most of the day working outside, so I did not have time to take pics of my giveaway items, plus I still haven't totally decided on all the items. And it's amazing how losing an hour today makes you feel like you got gyp'd, big time. I know it's only an HOUR, but the day seems like it was really, really short!

We are trying to get this loafing shed done for his new roping horse, our "Stormy" girl.

We managed to get all the lower boards up on the inside before dark and a gate put up on this near side here -- we still have to put up the aluminum panels on both sides (outside) and then we'll need to paint all the aluminum, as we are using scrap pieces and they are all different colors. It's going to be such a nice shelter for her when it's done, which we hope is within the next few days! It's 12 foot by 12 foot, a good size for one horse.

Anyway, I promise, cross-my-heart, that I will get the giveaway up tomorrow! Scout's honor!!

  1. Looks good! No doubt, Stormy will be forever grateful.

I know I mentioned it on your other blog, but wanted to make sure you knew I appreciated you stopping by my blog and commenting on Adopt a Hamster. Glad you got a laugh out of it! :o)

  2. I have a question and this in no way refers to you in any way so let me quatify that from the start :)
I've supposedly "won" giveaway's on 3 or 4 different occasions. I've done as aked, supplied my address and guess what, I've yet to receive the first darn thing. I didn't even enter these "giveaways" so I guess I'm a little stumped as to why someone would go out of there way to comment on my blog that I have won something that is apparetnly a "virtual" gift. That's plain rubbish isnt' it?
Has anything like this every happened to you? Just wondering....a couple of other bloggy pals told me that the same things had happend to them.
Please if you don't mind, answer me at my blog so I don't miss your answer. I'm really curious about this unusual behaviour.
    Thanks and.......

  3. In response to MMMR's comment (and I did reply personally to her also).... I have never heard of these "virtual" gifts (yet). My contests are true giveaways, and I only just started doing this a few weeks ago, and decided it was such fun to do it again. (Here's the post where one of my dogs "picked" the last winner, http://oz-girl.blogspot.com/2009/03/tori-mae-picks-winner.html). I have a very "giving" nature anyhow, so this seemed a fun thing to do! It is totally impartial, the name I pick is the name I pick, whether it is someone I personally know, or someone I have met thru blogging. I will say I am meeting some absolutely wonderful people thru blogging and I think my giveaway gets me just a tad closer to many of these people. So, no, I truly don't know anything about these "virtual" gifts you have won, and I hope no one comes to my bloggy and tells me something similar or I will give them a piece of my mind!!! Why are there always such people, who have to give a bad name to everything??! :)

  4. I just did a "Play it Forward" on my blog and I sent out my gifts, of which I received Thank yous for everyone but one person. So it works both ways, if someone recieves a gift then they should be polite enough to say Thanks.

  5. Thanks for the imput Oz Girl. I truly hope that you know that I was in no way referring to your giveaway. I just really wanted an honest opinion. I felt kind of weird after I gave out my address a couple of times and never received anything. It's not the gifty thing as much as I thought it a little strange.
    Does that make sense?
Thanks again, I appreciate your take on things :)

  6. Looks like a beautiful day and I certainly can't blame you for being out in it instead of in on a computer. :)
