Our Very First Green Pepper!

Ok, enough of the whole comments-and-how-should-one-respond-to-comments forum. No one's doing it the right way, or the wrong way. Everyone's doing the best they can given their life -- work, family, and recreational time which does not include blogging!

Now, on a lighter note. We have a few potted pepper and tomato plants. Here's our first sprouting veggie! Woo-hoo! Next year -- a real garden. This year -- just a few pots.

Pretty exciting stuff for a gal who hasn't gardened since mom & dad made her weed the garden all those years ago, and you know I just loved that.

I know how excited y'all are for me, so I'll keep you in the loop and let you know how our lil green pepper is doing.

  7. Congrats on the accomplishment. The little ones have prevented us from doing our regular small garden this year, but the cherry tomato plants up where we are seem to grow every year despite our lack of attention.

  11. If you cut it into little teeny tiny pieces, we all can share. LOL

BTW, it will taste better than any store-bought pepper.

  16. What a cute little pepper.
That is usually the final size of any attempt at growing veggies. After that, they shrivel up and die or rot on the vine. I swear, I have a black thumb! And, I can't bake, either - I am a failure as a homemaker. It's a good thing I have another job.

  18. So jealous! I seriously can't grow a darn thing. Well, except pineapple. Apparently, they thrive on neglect.

  19. Our green peppers are so far behind your little adorable one. I have my first garden too so I understand your excitement.

  20. For some reason we have never had good luck with bell pepper plants. I have gotten a few off of them, but they never compare to what you see in the store. It is the same story with strawberries. :-(

Now tomatoes and zucchini we can grow here!
