A Wee Bit o' Garden Bounty

Cucumbers, Garden Salsa peppers, and Mexican Gherkins
... oh, and two jalapeno peppers!

I've already made some refrigerator dill pickles, and I'll be making some salsa in the next few days.  I've never made my own salsa before, so I'll let you know how it turns out and what recipe I end up using!

  1. Look at you, Blogger Girl.. goooo!! :) Hooray for us.. we did it!! Nice produce too!! Love homemade salsa. My goal is for us to eat all this produce up so I don't "have" to can anything. Just not feelin' it this year ;) I'll be watching for that salsa report :D -Tammy

  2. With your fresh ingredients, you can't go wrong...tomatoes, onions, peppers, cilantro, lime juice, and it's soooo good! Looking forward to seeing what you whip up...pass the tortilla chips!

  3. Susan, looks like your garden jungle is really starting to produce. Four quarts of tomato soup stock has been sealed up and stored away for a cold winter day. Tomato marmalade will be up next. That's new territory for me. Salsa really should be on my list of things to made with garden produce.

Have a great day in the garden.

  4. Looks yummy, and pickles are a great idea. Do you ever just do cucumbers in sour cream? Tastes yummy!
